As they were en route to for our session, the downpour began. And I mean downpour!! We decided to see what we could get under the covered porch of the studio, and still get some of that fantastic fall colour that has been so brilliant all week. A few photos in, a miracle….the rain stopped and then the sun even started to creep out. The photos I had planned with this wonderful family went by the wayside, and we used the brilliant storm sky as our background. These folks being the coolest parents around, were totally up for my tentative suggestion of ending with splashing in the puddles. Though it was damp and cold, the kids were all in (Dad even ‘puddle jumped’!!!).  I so love adventurous parents and kids, and a change of plan that works for the better!
