After photographing this bunch for years now, I have been excited to get more portraits with them, at a location they have been describing to me for quite some time now, and it sounded perfect. They forgot to mention that to get there, it’s a near 90 degree drop through thick brush….but they probably knew it wouldn’t even matter….I’d do anything to get to a good location. It was a great workout getting back up:) Actually, a few amazing things happened at this session. Not only was everyone there (and if you’ve ever tried to get a complete extended family available and together on the same night, you’ll know how impressive this is), but everyone braved the death defying drop into the location AND got in the water. Doesn’t sound like much, but this water was so cold that instantly when stepping in, it felt like knives through your legs, and 3 minutes was about the limit for staying in. If you could only hear the soundtrack to these images…it was pretty funny.

Thanks for another great session, a fabulous location, and a great hike….not a bad way to spend a Saturday night!
